                            Cabaret Night

              

Well, once again I want to take You back to April of this Year. There was plenty of fun and exciting overflowing at an event several weeks back. An awesome event, one truly benefiting the Community. On Sunday April 22, 2007 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Woodridge, Illinois. The Woodridge Community Pantry put on their annual Come To The Cabaret Dinner. Every year the Woodridge Community Pantry helps fight hunger in The Woodridge Community by putting on a fun event. This Cabaret included an silent auction, raffles, a cash bar, a delicious dinner provided by Carabbas Italian Grill in Woodridge. After dinner, featured entertainment was The Cabaret Show, which included Pastor of St. Scholastica Church Father Gerry Riva, along with other parishioners.

This was a sold out event. With tickets just $30 a piece, which included a simply heavely dinner and cabaret show, tickets went fast. In fact The Pantry is moving this event to a larger venue, so more people in Our beloved Community can enjoy this program and at the same time help a very worthwhile cause.

The Woodridge Community Pantry provides food and personal care items for over 1,000 persons each month. Clients are given choice of foods, so that they may pick what will be best utilized for their families and situations. They strive to maintain a supply of sugar free and gluten free foods for those who have special dietary needs.

Clients may come once a month for a full food order, but are welcome to come weekly for bread products and produce (in season).

The Woodridge Community Pantry is an emergency food pantry serving the community by feeding the hungry and sharing resources to improve the quality of life.

The Pantry serves residents of the Woodridge area who are in need, and who meet the Federal Income Guidelines posted in the pantry. These guidelines are issued annually, and vary depending on the number of people in the household.
